Introduction

Work has begun on the $95 million redevelopment of Temora Hospital, marking an important step towards improving healthcare services for Temora and nearby communities within the Murrumbidgee Local Health District.

Features

The project aims to provide modern health facilities and upgraded services to ensure residents have access to high-quality care close to home, both now and in the years ahead.

Key features of the redevelopment include:

  • A new Emergency Department
  • An Inpatient Unit with flexible spaces for medical, surgical, rehabilitation, maternity, and palliative care
  • A birthing and nursery suite
  • An operating theatre and procedure room
  • Allied health and ambulatory clinics, including a gymnasium
  • Community health and mental health, drug and alcohol services
  • Expanded medical imaging facilities, featuring the hospital’s first CT scanner and an ultrasound service

Additional improvements will include upgraded car parking for patients, staff, and visitors, along with separate entry points for emergency and service vehicles.

The redevelopment is scheduled for completion in 2028.
