Introduction:

Nemours Children’s Health will invest $300 million in Central Florida over the next four years to address the increasing demand for top-quality pediatric care.

Features:

A 110,000-square-foot expansion of the pediatric hospital will double the size of the Emergency Department, expand the Imaging Department, and add more inpatient beds and observation rooms.

A new 75,000-square-foot administrative building, featuring an 800-space parking garage, is expected to be completed in 2027.

The hospital will also house Nemours’ rapidly growing orthopaedics division, including a new International Center for Limb Lengthening and the state’s first and only accredited Gait and Motion Analysis Lab.

As Florida remains the fastest-growing state in the nation, the demand for pediatric services continues to rise. Nemours currently serves over 300,000 children and teens across the state. In Central Florida, the pediatric population of 1 million is projected to grow by nearly 5% over the next five years.

The new expansion is scheduled to open in 2028.
