Children’s Hospital plans for campus expansion and property renovation with an investment of $225 million in New Orleans.
The $225 million expansion will allow Children’s Hospital to continue and enhance the delivery of specialty pediatric care. Construction will take place in three phases, the first and last phases lasting approximately 12 - 18 months and the middle phase taking longer at 24-28 months.
The new campus will feature substantial improvements, including: new emergency department, inpatient radiology department, surgical services department, same day surgery unit with all private rooms, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU/CNICU), cancer center of excellence with inpatient and outpatient services together, 400 car garage with direct and easy walkway to inpatient and outpatient services and, and front door and lobby experience.
