Introduction:

Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital has begun work on a $277.5 million campus expansion to support the rapidly increasing health care needs of the Cypress and Waller communities.

Features:

The centrepiece of the project is a new six-storey patient tower that will provide more inpatient, surgical, emergency, and specialist care services. This addition will increase the hospital’s capacity to 201 beds, with room to expand up to 345 beds in the future.

  • A new six-storey patient tower offering inpatient services, including TIRR Memorial Hermann inpatient rehabilitation.
  • Fifty-two new beds: 12 TIRR inpatient rehabilitation beds and 40 acute care beds.
  • A larger emergency department, doubling its capacity and adding eight dedicated paediatric emergency beds.
  • Expanded Women’s Services with an OB emergency department, one OB operating room, and additional neonatal ICU space.
  • Growth of the pharmacy, laboratory, and sterile processing departments.

The full project is expected to be complete in 2027.
