Introduction:

Advocate Aurora Health with an investment of US$67 million plans to expand its existing health centre with a hospital and new emergency department in Fond du Lac.

Features:

The new emergency department is connected to the existing health centre including an additional area covering 91,000 square foot. In addition, the expansion also adds 10 inpatient beds.

New medical centre in Fond du Lac, part of Aurora Medical Centre in Oshkosh, increases the access to integrated healthcare in current location and surrounding communities. All the subspecialty procedures will now be carried out in Fond du Lac itself, thus stopping the patients to travel to Oshkosh and other communities.

The medical center consisting of convenient and innovative approaches for patient care with advanced facilities enhances healthcare experience for both patients and their families. Since, more and more healthcare services are offered within short-term the need for overnight stays in the hospital are eliminated.

Once the construction is done, it is expected that the emergency department will provide 100 new jobs.

Construction is expected to start in the spring of next year and be completed in 2022.
