Introduction:

Inspira Health is investing $240 million and has marked the start of its expansion at Inspira Medical Center in Mullica Hill. When finished, this project will add 168,000 square feet to the campus.

Features:

The expansion includes a new five-storey wing spanning 150,000 square feet, extending towards Route 55, and an overbuild beside the hospital’s main entrance. Additionally, various clinical and non-clinical areas on the first floor will be renovated, and parking capacity will be increased.

This project will enable Inspira to broaden its capabilities and improve its services, increasing capacity at its Gloucester County hospital. Enhanced and expanded services will include the Intensive Care Unit, Medical/Surgical, Maternal Child Health, Observation, Imaging (MRI and CT), Interventional Radiology, and Graduate Medical Education, which will feature a simulation lab for hospital residents.

During construction, the project is expected to create 500 jobs for tradespeople, and over 100 new permanent positions will be available once completed.

The new wing and overbuild are anticipated to welcome patients in the first quarter of 2027.
