Introduction:

AdventHealth Daytona Beach has unveiled a $220 million, multi-year construction initiative aimed at significantly expanding its facilities.

Features:

The expansion will enhance the hospital's capabilities with new intensive care and progressive care beds, including an expanded cardiovascular intensive care unit (CV-ICU) and a dedicated neuro-ICU. The project will also upgrade support services, featuring an expanded sterile processing unit, a new and larger pharmacy, a new laboratory department, and advanced imaging options, including an extra CT scanner and MRI.

This major development will introduce 104 new beds, four additional surgical suites, and over 240,000 square feet of new space.

Upon completion, the hospital will increase its capacity from 362 to 466 inpatient beds and will expand its total size to nearly 1 million square feet. Additionally, the number of surgical suites will grow from 18 to 22.

Construction is set to start this summer and is projected to be finished by fall 2026.
