As we move closer to CRITICARE 2027, the excitement across our society is palpable. Preparations are in full swing, with our Organizing Committee and Scientific Working Groups working tirelessly to deliver a conference that reflects the academic excellence, innovation, and collaborative spirit of ISCCM. I warmly invite each one of you to join us for what promises to be an outstanding scientific event.

Beyond CRITICARE, our academic journey continues with equal enthusiasm. Scientific Working Groups across the country are actively developing guidelines, planning multicentre research, and leading educational initiatives that will strengthen evidence-based critical care practice in India.

A major priority for the coming months is Critical Care Nursing education. ISCCM is developing a comprehensive national nursing workshop programme to provide standardized, practical, and high-quality training. Our goal is to ensure that every critical care nurse, irrespective of geography or institution, has equal access to quality education, ultimately leading to more uniform standards of patient care across the country.

It is also encouraging to witness the growing international recognition of Indian Critical Care. For many years, we looked to international societies for guidance and collaboration. Today, these partnerships have become truly bidirectional, with global critical care societies increasingly interested in our research, our innovations, and our unique experience in delivering high-quality critical care across diverse healthcare settings. ISCCM now proudly represents Indian critical care on the global stage, with our members contributing not only as learners but also as educators, researchers, collaborators, and thought leaders.

As we move forward, I encourage every member to remain actively involved in research, education, quality improvement, and service. Together, we will continue to strengthen ISCCM, improve patient care, and advance the practice of critical care, both nationally and globally.
