The essence of life is our primary interest and our company could not therefore stop but must contribute to the REBIRTH of the cultural and programmatic life of the operators who are committed daily to always obtain an optimal result of perinatal care.

Here, therefore, with considerable effort, the SIMP has prepared a moment of discussion on the most current issues of our work: from the assistance, organizational and therapeutic reflections that COVID-19 has imposed on us, to the most fascinating themes of technological innovation in the birth, to diagnosis and prevention of perinatal asphyxia, pregnancy after medically assisted procreation with particular attention to the meaning of pregnancy as a stress test of the female organism.

Indeed, the work of Perinatal Medicine is increasingly important in social medicine in being able to identify the characteristics of future risk of developing metabolic and functional pathologies of mothers and babies, generating a path of surveillance, lifestyle, nutrition that has the aim to reduce the appearance of the future pathology of the baby and mother.

The health organization in terms of protocols, routes, treatment in the prevention of the future pathology of the population therefore passes absolutely from medical activity in the preconceptional, post-conceptional, neonatal era.

The challenge of SIMP is to involve more and more gynecologists, neonatologists, midwives, anesthesiologists, general practitioners in the acquisition of the best and most updated skills for the best future of our public health.
