Introduction:

PeaceHealth has unveiled plans to construct and operate a new inpatient behavioral health hospital in Lane County.

Features:

The hospital will offer comprehensive inpatient behavioral health services for adolescents, adults, and seniors, along with intensive outpatient care. In an exciting public-private partnership, the facility will be built next to the planned Lane Crisis Stabilization Center, providing easy access to a growing range of behavioral health resources in the community.

PeaceHealth is partnering with Lifepoint Behavioral Health, a division of Lifepoint Health, to develop and operate the new facility.

Timber Springs Behavioral Health Hospital will replace PeaceHealth’s current 35-bed behavioral health unit at the University District campus, nearly tripling the region's capacity to treat behavioral health patients. The existing unit focuses solely on acute adult psychiatric cases, so the new hospital will not only increase capacity but also extend services to a broader patient base.

Subject to regulatory approvals and construction, Timber Springs Behavioral Health Hospital is expected to open in 2027.
