Introduction:

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) has unveiled its plans to build a new hospital just off Route 33 along Hecktown Road, in Lower Nazareth Township.

Features:

The new hospital will be named as ‘Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hecktown Oaks’.

The new medical campus will include a 106,000 square-foot, two-story hospital; a 35,000-square-foot Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute and a 61,000-square-foot medical office building.
The campus will provide advanced surgical, cancer services, advanced imaging, emergency and orthopedic care, diagnostic testing and more.

Apart from these, the hospital will also include an emergency room that cares for adults and children, including space designed just for children, state-of-the-art operating suites, private patient rooms with views of the healing garden, Lehigh Valley Special Surgery Institute, and Lehigh Valley Heart Institute services, a musculoskeletal Center and more.

The medical office will provide convenient access to outpatient primary and specialty care, including breast health services, leading-edge diagnostic testing and comprehensive rehabilitation services.

Additionally, the Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute will provide convenient cancer care, including infusion services and access to innovative clinical trials through its membership in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance, as well as patient-focused multidisciplinary clinic care that provides oncology patients with personalised recommendations for treatment.

The new health campus also broadens the services LVHN and Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital already provide in the county.

The grand opening of the campus is scheduled for the summer of 2021.
