Major Advances in the Diagnosis of Human Papillomavirus-Associated Cancers

26 November 2021

Le Institut de Cancérologie de Lorraine , in collaboration with the Institut du Cancer Joliot Curie (Joliot Curie Cancer Institute) of Dakar and Cerba HealthCare Group has just completed research showing that some cancers caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) can be diagnosed with a simple blood test.

Building on the innovative CaptHPV technique, this research recently published in the journal Clinical Cancer Research * raises the prospect of a non-invasive approach to diagnose certain cancers and optimize biological follow-up of patients receiving therapy.
