Vantis Vascular Secures ?8 Million in Series B-1 Funding
13 December 2024
Vantis Vascular, Inc., a medical technology company specialising in vascular interventions, has successfully closed $10 million in Series B-1 preferred financing. This latest funding brings the company’s total raised to $30 million, including contributions from high-net-worth individuals and grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The new funding will support the continued development of Vantis Vascular's CrossFAST Advanced Delivery System, an innovative solution designed for complex high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and other vascular procedures. The CrossFAST System is a dual monorail microcatheter delivery system, specifically engineered to improve outcomes in challenging coronary and peripheral interventions.
Unlike traditional guide extension catheters, which often face challenges in reaching target areas and carry risks of vessel trauma or damage to existing stents, the CrossFAST System integrates a microcatheter with a smooth transition mechanism to minimise these risks.
It incorporates DuoPRO™ Interlocking Technology, a feature that connects the microcatheter to the outer delivery catheter, enabling unified movement for improved pushability and navigation. This design addresses limitations of existing catheters, particularly in procedures involving calcified or tortuous anatomy.
The company has initiated a limited market release of the CrossFAST System in the United States, with plans for a full market launch in 2025. This rollout aims to enhance the ability of clinicians to perform complex procedures more efficiently and safely, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
The financing marks a key milestone for Vantis Vascular as it expands its operations and brings its innovative technology closer to widespread clinical use.
