The decision to choose this system followed a visit to United Imaging’s North American headquarters in Houston, Texas. During this visit, the team from XRANM reviewed the system's capabilities and saw its potential to enhance patient care.

The uMR OMEGA was selected for its ability to improve access to healthcare, particularly in underserved regions, which aligns with XRANM's mission to support patients.

The uMR OMEGA offers several notable features, including an ultra-wide bore and the Starlight Experience, a calming environment designed to help patients with obesity, claustrophobia, and those requiring off-centre exams.

It is also capable of performing high-resolution scans in under 100 seconds, thanks to the AI-assisted compressed sensing (uAI® ACS) technology.

The system’s diagnostic 24-channel high-density breast coil is designed to accommodate patients who might have been previously unable to undergo scans due to size limitations. It also features cushioning for added patient comfort, and the spine coil can be removed to create more space inside the bore.

As part of the service agreement, the uMR OMEGA includes Software Upgrades for Life™, ensuring that all future software updates are provided at no additional cost. The system also comes with All-in Configurations®, which means every available application is included in the system configuration, eliminating the need for future purchases.

The uMR OMEGA will be showcased again at this year's RSNA in Chicago.
