Terumo Interventional Systems Launches R2P NaviCross Peripheral Support Catheter
4 December 2024
Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS), a division of Terumo Corporation, has launched its R2P™ NaviCross® peripheral support catheter in the U.S., adding to the company’s growing radial-to-peripheral (R2P) portfolio.
The new 200 cm version of the R2P NaviCross catheter is designed to optimise performance in R2P procedures. Featuring a double-braided, stainless-steel construction, it provides enhanced trackability and torque control, making it suitable for crossing more complex lesions.
The R2P NaviCross catheter addresses the increasing demand for longer, high-performance support catheters. This innovation supports the trend towards radial access in peripheral artery disease (PAD) treatments, where procedures for conditions such as critical limb ischemia are on the rise.
The 200 cm length is especially valuable for physicians performing percutaneous transluminal endovascular procedures from the radial artery, enabling safer and more efficient completion of these procedures.
The new catheter complements Terumo's existing R2P product range, which includes the R2P Destination Slender™ guiding sheath, R2P SlenGuide™ guiding catheter, R2P Misago® self-expanding peripheral stent, and the R2P Metacross™ RX and R2P Crosstella™ RX dilatation catheters.
These products provide physicians with the confidence to carry out a wide variety of PAD procedures using a radial approach.
