Stryker has launched the TPX HD, a premium small bone power tool developed to support performance, control and ergonomics across a range of complex orthopaedic procedures, including total joint revision surgeries, minimally invasive procedures and oral and maxillofacial operations.

The TPX HD has been designed to improve surgical performance in challenging operating environments. Key design features include a tapered attachment for better visibility in confined surgical areas, a housing structure that helps reduce the transfer of motor heat during high-speed operation, and improved ergonomics through a shorter handpiece and enhanced grip.

The system offers increased power and speed, delivering up to 296% more torque and up to 40% faster performance compared with the company's TPX Micro Drill during high-speed use.

The tool also features customisable controls through the I.D. Touch software integrated with Stryker’s CORE 2 Console, allowing surgeons to adjust drill response and sensitivity according to procedural requirements.

In addition, TPX HD is compatible with a range of specialised attachments, including different attachment lengths, the PROStep 5:1 reducer, and accessories designed for cutting and removing metal and bone cement.

The launch expands Stryker’s orthopaedic technology portfolio and is aimed at supporting surgeons performing demanding procedures where precision, visibility and control are critical.
