Stratus® Medical, a company committed to improving clinical outcomes for chronic pain patients through the advancement of radiofrequency (RF) technology, has announced the expansion of its patent protection in Europe for its NIMBUS® Electrosurgical RF Multitined Expandable Electrode ("NIMBUS").

The company has been granted European Patent Numbers EP3556308 and EP3750501, covering the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, and as Unitary Patents for France, Germany, Italy, and other Unitary Patent system countries.

Brings the company's global patent portfolio for NIMBUS to 37 grants, including 16 national validations and Unitary Patents from four distinct European applications, along with five U.S. patents. Additionally, there are five pending applications and registrations.

In addition to patent protection, Stratus Medical has registered a Community design with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for its forthcoming platform technology, currently in late-stage development. It's important to note that this platform technology has not yet undergone FDA submission and clearance or obtained its CE Mark.

The company also has six pending U.S. and PCT applications for its forthcoming technologies.
