Primefocus and Marshall Health Network Join Forces to Develop New Healthcare Service Solution

27 August 2024

Marshall Health Network, an academic health system in West Virginia, has announced a new collaboration with Primefocus Health to enhance healthcare services in the region.

The partnership aims to address key healthcare issues such as rural access, obesity, healthy aging, and substance abuse through a tailored digital health solution.

Primefocus Health, launched in collaboration with LG NOVA, the innovation center of LG Electronics North America, is focused on delivering a comprehensive, personalized care experience and improving healthcare access, particularly in rural areas.

The platform will support Marshall Health Network in reaching 1.4 million residents across 40 counties in West Virginia, southern Ohio, and eastern Kentucky.

This collaboration will introduce a provider-focused, patient-centered solution utilizing innovative, non-invasive technology and remote monitoring.

The technology will track patient progress and deliver care directly to patients' homes, enhancing healthcare providers' ability to manage outcomes through support, guidance, and communication via an app-based patient portal.

The initiative will begin in September, with development continuing over the next year and a planned patient rollout in 2025.

The collaboration will address several key areas:

  • Rural Health: Enhance healthcare delivery in rural areas by improving access.
  • Obesity: Tackle obesity through technology-driven nutrition education, physical activity programs, and behavioral health support.
  • Healthy Aging: Promote healthy aging with technology solutions for preventive care, chronic disease management, and wellness initiatives for older adults.
  • Substance Use Disorder: Increase access to evidence-based treatments and support services for substance use disorders, with a focus on opioid addiction and recovery.

This partnership is designed to provide patients with better access to healthcare, support their active involvement in health management, and ultimately improve outcomes and quality of life.
