PICC Guard, LLC, a pioneering medical device company, has recently announced a national group purchasing agreement and Breakthrough Technology designation from Premier, Inc.

Effective June 15, 2024, this agreement allows Premier members to access special pricing and terms negotiated for PICC Guard's tamper-evident catheter protection device.

Premier is a leading healthcare improvement company and Group Purchasing Organization, serving a network of approximately 4,350 U.S. hospitals and 300,000 providers.

Their integrated data, analytics, supply chain solutions, and consulting services aim to improve care quality, outcomes, and cost-effectiveness.

The FDA-cleared PICC Guard device is the first of its kind designed to safeguard intravenous (IV) catheter connectors from unauthorized access and tampering.

It is particularly beneficial for high-risk patient populations, such as intravenous drug users (IVDU), aiming to expedite discharge to outpatient settings and reduce the need for intensive monitoring, thereby lowering healthcare costs.

The partnership with Premier, Inc., highlighting their joint efforts to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.

RyMed Technologies, LLC, PICC Guard's sales and clinical support partner, will collaborate with healthcare facilities to facilitate the adoption and implementation of this innovative technology.
