With Mindray's support encompassing equipment provisions like anesthesia machines, patient monitors, ventilators, operating tables, defibrillators, and electrosurgical units, Operation Smile's China Medical Center was successfully inaugurated on August 3rd in Yunnan, China. The center is poised to offer secure and high-caliber cleft surgeries and comprehensive care, including dental treatments, speech therapy, psychological counseling, and nutritional assessments. By establishing this facility in proximity to patients in China, the center aims to conduct over a thousand surgeries and train close to two hundred medical professionals within the initial five years.

The recent Operation Smile 2023 Wenshan Surgical Program, conducted from August 2 to August 9 at the Center, witnessed the successful completion of 77 cleft lip and cleft palate repair surgeries.
