MicroPort? CardioFlow Speeds Up Commercial Launch of AnchorMan? Left Atrial Appendage Closure System

MicroPort® CardioFlow Medtech Corporation has announced that its subsidiary, MicroPort® CardioAdvent, is advancing the clinical use of its independently developed AnchorMan™ Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure System (the “AnchorMan™ LAAC System”) following its market introduction.
Approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in January 2024, AnchorMan™ is currently the sole semi-closed LAAC device available in China.
It has been successfully implanted in 41 patients across 12 provinces, showcasing its growing acceptance in clinical settings. Early results have demonstrated excellent outcomes, with postoperative imaging showing complete occlusion and high effectiveness.
The AnchorMan™ LAAC System features a unique semi-closed design that merges the benefits of traditional open and closed LAAC devices.
Its structure includes 12 “3D folding” units and a sturdy frame, addressing challenges associated with deep sheath placement in traditional devices while ensuring stable anchoring.
The system’s rounded, soft distal end reduces potential damage to LAA tissue, and its dense NiTi alloy frame ensures a tight fit, providing superior sealing. It offers two deployment options—advancement and unsheath—for increased flexibility during procedures.
Since its launch, the AnchorMan™ LAAC System has been well-received at major cardiovascular conferences, earning praise for its performance, clinical data, and positive feedback from both physicians and patients.
The swift adoption of the initial implants is expected to enhance the Company’s revenue and profitability. The global strategy for the system is also advancing, with a CE registration application submitted in December 2023 and EU CE certification expected by 2025.
