MedRes Establishes Medical Device Technology Center in Carlsbad, CA

MedRes International, is opening its advanced technology development center in Carlsbad, California, in May 2024.

This new facility is designed to accelerate customer projects in cardiovascular intervention and minimally invasive surgery. Specializing in the design, simulation, rapid prototyping, testing, and characterization of medical devices, particularly those utilizing Nitinol, and requiring custom delivery systems, the Carlsbad team is well-equipped to meet industry needs.

Leading the team in Carlsbad is Christine Trepanier, serving as Chief Operating Officer. With over 25 years of experience in medical device development and manufacturing, including roles at Confluent Medical Technologies and NDC / Johnson & Johnson, Christine brings invaluable expertise to operations and new product development at MedRes.

She holds a BS in Materials Engineering and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from École Polytechnique of Montreal, Canada.

Heading the unified R&D team across Carlsbad and Budapest is Chief Technology Officer Craig Bonsignore. With a career spanning 30 years and key positions at Johnson & Johnson Interventional Systems, Cordis, NDC, and Confluent Medical Technologies, Craig's leadership ensures cutting-edge innovation.

His expertise in Nitinol technology, coupled with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from UC Berkeley, positions him as a driving force in the industry.
