Intermountain Health Partners with NeuroFlow to Enhance Behavioral Health in Colorado Primary Care

19 July 2024

Intermountain Health, a nonprofit healthcare system based in the Western U.S., is teaming up with NeuroFlow, a leading provider of behavioral health technology and analytics, to enhance the management of behavioral health risks within its primary care population.

This collaboration seeks to improve the effectiveness of integrated care programs and address the needs of patients with both physical and behavioral health conditions, who often incur higher medical expenses.

Addressing behavioral health issues on a large scale presents challenges due to limited resources. To overcome this, Intermountain Health will utilize NeuroFlow’s advanced technology and analytics, which are designed for enterprise-level application.

The partnership will initially focus on populations in Colorado, where many individuals could benefit from these innovations.

A comprehensive tool is crucial for evaluating the severity and complexity of behavioral health conditions to provide the most effective treatments. According to Attallah, “NeuroFlow will assist our primary care providers in achieving this goal on a larger scale while reducing administrative burdens.”

NeuroFlow will integrate its behavioral health analytics into existing care workflows and provide patients with relevant digital resources and support. The platform will help identify behavioral health needs across populations and offer suicide prevention services, along with outreach from crisis professionals.

Gathering accurate behavioral health data through in-person screenings alone can be challenging. NeuroFlow’s platform engages patients through multiple digital touchpoints and employs sophisticated AI to assess behavioral health in real time. This approach provides valuable insights that enable organizations like Intermountain to better participate in integrated care programs and offer additional support to those at risk of suicide.

NeuroFlow’s expertise in behavioral health risk identification, suicide prevention, and clinical integration will help Intermountain overcome systemic challenges and enhance their care programs. The partnership will allow Intermountain to more effectively triage populations and deliver care more efficiently.

The initiative underscores the need for technology to address the increasing demand for behavioral health services. By using advanced technology to identify and manage behavioral health risks early, providers can reduce their workload, improve patient outcomes, and lower overall care costs.
