hc1, a leader in healthcare information technology focused on enhancing patient care and reducing costs through real-time lab data insights, has announced its acquisition of Accumen, a well-regarded healthcare performance consulting firm based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. This acquisition positions hc1 as the sole provider of a comprehensive solution aimed at transforming diagnostic laboratories into valuable assets for health systems.
By combining hc1's advanced data management technology and AI-powered analytics through the hc1 Lab Insights Platform with Accumen's expertise in laboratory operations, the two companies aim to improve patient care, streamline processes, and lower costs. This partnership responds to the growing need among health systems to extract maximum value from lab data.
Both hc1 and Accumen, founded in 2011, have a strong track record of turning complex laboratory data into actionable insights. Together, they serve health systems and labs that cater to 90 million patients and 450 hospitals, utilising the hc1 Lab Insights Platform and workflow automation to enhance the laboratory's effectiveness across the healthcare continuum.
With the integration of Accumen, hc1 aims to deliver faster results while maintaining efficiency across various areas, including supply chain management, blood management, staffing, and lab stewardship.
The company’s expert consultants facilitate a smooth transition for health systems, ensuring that the integration process does not strain IT resources or disrupt ongoing operations.
