GE HealthCare Unveils Image-Guided Therapy Innovations at TCT2023

23 October 2023

GE HealthCare, trading under the symbol GEHC on Nasdaq, is preparing to unveil state-of-the-art innovations designed to support healthcare professionals in combating cardiovascular disease at the 2023 Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics conference (TCT). In today's healthcare landscape, cardiovascular disease (CVD) continues to be a growing concern, persistently ranking as the leading cause of death globally. As medical practitioners continue to address CVD, there is a growing demand for minimally invasive cardiology procedures.

At this year's TCT event, GE HealthCare will introduce a connected care pathway experience in interventional cardiology. This exhibit will showcase enhancements aimed at streamlining workflows, optimizing efficiency, promoting collaboration, and ultimately improving patient outcomes in cardiovascular disease treatment. A key feature of this showcase is the Allia IGS Pulse, specifically engineered to enhance the workflow for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases in the realm of interventional cardiology.

Following the recent 510(k) clearance of the Allia IGS Pulse system, GE HealthCare is unveiling new technologies and solutions at TCT2023 to further enhance the capabilities of this platform and advance image-guided therapy in cardiology care. Notably, the INTERACT Touch is a groundbreaking addition to the Allia platform, enabling clinicians to access and manage up to three different third-party devices via a single touch panel while maintaining a sterile environment. This feature empowers clinicians to quickly access essential technologies and information during procedures, streamlining workflow and emphasizing patient care.

Furthermore, GE HealthCare's 3D Stent5 tool, integrated into the Allia system, offers clinicians intuitive three-dimensional (3D) images for stent visualization, eliminating the need for additional contrast agents or devices. The Mac-Lab hemodynamic recording system fills the gap between a Cath Lab's clinical and IT aspects, optimizing workflow, productivity, and throughput in high-speed, high-volume labs. It efficiently integrates information from patient admission through diagnosis, treatment, and billing.

These innovations and advancements from GE HealthCare aim to enhance healthcare providers' capabilities in treating cardiovascular disease and delivering superior patient care outcomes.
