GE HealthCare expands LOGIQ e ultrasound portfolio with new compact systems
5 August 2026
GE HealthCare has expanded its LOGIQ e ultrasound platform with the launch of the LOGIQ e Xi and LOGIQ e Si, two compact laptop-based ultrasound systems designed to provide portable imaging across a wide range of clinical settings.
The new LOGIQ e family combines console-level imaging performance with a lightweight and portable design. The systems also include artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features and workflow tools to support faster examinations and improve efficiency outside traditional imaging departments.
The ultrasound systems are suitable for multiple clinical applications, including general imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, emergency medicine, critical care, rheumatology and anaesthesiology. The LOGIQ e Xi is the premium model, offering advanced imaging capabilities, AI-assisted features and enhanced workflow tools, while the LOGIQ e Si provides essential imaging functions in a more affordable system.
The LOGIQ e family includes workflow features such as Scan Assistant and Voice Control to reduce manual inputs and improve productivity. Depending on the configuration and market, the LOGIQ e Xi also offers AI-powered applications including Nerveblox, which identifies anatomical landmarks during peripheral nerve block procedures, and MSK Gov, which assists with musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations by identifying anatomical structures.
Additional imaging technologies available on the systems include B-Flow for real-time blood flow imaging, Speckle Reduction Imaging (SRI)-HD to improve visualisation of organs and lesions, Automated Function Imaging (AFI) for cardiac assessment, and SonoBiometry for automated fetal measurements during obstetric examinations.
Depending on the product configuration and region, the systems also support Verisound digital tools, including cloud-based fleet management and virtual collaboration capabilities. The LOGIQ e Xi is compatible with the wireless Vscan Air probe, providing greater flexibility for cable-free ultrasound scanning.
The expanded LOGIQ e portfolio is designed to support healthcare professionals who require portable, easy-to-use ultrasound systems while maintaining high-quality imaging across a variety of clinical environments.
