22 June 2024

EndoSound®, is excited to announce that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has granted a Transitional Pass-Through (TPT) code for its EndoSound Vision System™ (EVS™), effective from July 1, 2024.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the company's innovative endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) technology.

The CMS TPT status is a significant recognition, providing outpatient facilities with additional Medicare reimbursement for procedures using the EVS.

This status is exclusively awarded to new medical devices meeting strict eligibility criteria, aimed at improving patient access to advanced technologies.

Detailed information on the TPT code, C1606, is available in the July 2024 update of the hospital outpatient prospective payment system on the CMS website.

"Incredibly proud to receive TPT status from CMS for the EVS. This approval underscores the clinical value and innovation of our technology."

It expands access to the benefits of EUS, crucial for early detection and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. Our goal is to enhance patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs, and achieving this milestone brings us closer to that objective."

The EVS represents a breakthrough in cost-effective solutions, enhancing the capabilities of existing endoscopic equipment by providing high-resolution ultrasound imaging without requiring expensive and complex new scopes.

This advancement promises to improve the accessibility and quality of care for patients undergoing EUS procedures.

EndoSound remains committed to advancing medical technology and improving patient access to quality care.
