Endeavor Health Partners Collaborates with Rosalind Franklin University to Enhance Healthcare Accessibility

31 January 2024

Endeavor Health and Rosalind Franklin University forge a strong alliance to expand community health outreach efforts, driven by Endeavor's Community Investment Fund (CIF). This financial backing from Endeavor Health has empowered Rosalind Franklin University to bolster its community health program, offering increased health resources, education, and collaborations with local agencies to address social determinants of health.

The Community Care Clinic's (CCC) mobile health unit now serves over 30 designated locations and partner organizations, including public libraries, social-service agencies, and shelters catering to the homeless. The team of licensed healthcare professionals conducts complimentary health screenings for various conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cholesterol, and osteoporosis, alongside administering vaccinations and organizing health education programs.

Through the support of CIF funding, the CCC has expanded its team by hiring an additional full-time nurse practitioner and engaging two community-engagement liaisons. Furthermore, they have secured three electric vehicles to facilitate staff mobility and service delivery, acquired more rapid-test kits for ailments such as COVID-19, strep throat, urinary tract infections, and influenza, and increased their flu vaccine stock from 400 to 1,000 doses.

Rosalind Franklin University stands as one of the leading recipients among 47 local organizations in the Chicagoland area collaborating with Endeavor Health under the $21.4 million CIF program. The program emphasizes priorities like behavioral health, violence prevention, housing and food security, access to care, and workforce development.
