Cleerly Secures $106 Million from Insight Partners to Transform Heart Disease Management
7 December 2024
Cleerly, a leading company in advanced cardiovascular imaging, has successfully concluded its Series C extension funding round, raising a total of $106 million. The round was led by Insight Partners, a global software investment firm, and included Battery Ventures alongside existing investors.
The funding will support Cleerly’s efforts to expand its commercial presence and generate further clinical evidence for its technology. The company aims to enhance outcomes across the coronary care pathway by introducing new standards in heart disease diagnosis and management.
Cleerly’s solutions, approved by the FDA, use artificial intelligence to analyse non-invasive computed tomography (CT) scans. This technology provides detailed information about coronary artery disease, leveraging insights derived from extensive medical image datasets.
The latest funding comes on the back of key achievements, including Medicare coverage and the assignment of a CPT Category I code for advanced plaque analysis. These milestones are expected to facilitate broader adoption of Cleerly’s technology, which is designed to improve early detection and management of heart disease.
Insight Partners highlighted the significant role Cleerly’s innovation plays in addressing cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death globally. The technology enables healthcare providers to assess plaque burden accurately and non-invasively, a capability likened to other transformative diagnostic tools such as mammograms and colonoscopies.
The funding will help Cleerly expand its reach within healthcare systems and ensure that more patients benefit from this life-saving technology.
