Casio Announces Launch of Uterocervical Observation Camera in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand

11 March 2024

Casio Computer has announced the launch of the DZ-C100 COLPOCAMERA and the CST-100M camera stand, specifically designed for uterocervical observation and photography within gynecological settings, in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. Accompanying the release is the availability of the D'z IMAGE Viewer C software in these regions. The DZ-C100 camera boasts the ability to capture three types of images - normal, green, and polarized - with a single press of the shutter. When mounted on the stand, it offers smooth movement to facilitate precise observation positions and secure fixation.

Having garnered positive feedback from medical professionals in Europe following its introduction in September 2023, the DZ-C100 has been commended for its high-definition imaging capabilities and the user-friendly Touch Focus Function, which simplifies image focusing on the LCD monitor. The products have obtained necessary regulatory approvals, including Class II medical device registration from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Class I medical device approval from the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), and registration in the Web Assisted Notification of Devices (WAND) Database in New Zealand.

Casio America, Inc., the U.S. sales subsidiary, along with distributor C.R. KENNEDY & Company in Australia and New Zealand, will handle distribution. By expanding the availability of the COLPOCAMERA to these regions, Casio aims to further its footprint in the medical device industry and contribute to advancements in healthcare worldwide.
