CancerCheck and Evexia Partner to Expand Early Cancer Detection Access
15 May 2026
Cancer Check Labs has entered into a strategic partnership with Evexia Diagnostics to expand access to early cancer detection testing through the CancerCheck multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test.
The collaboration combines CancerCheck’s blood-based testing technology with Evexia Diagnostics’ laboratory network and diagnostic platform. The test is designed to isolate whole circulating tumour cells (CTCs) from blood samples, allowing licensed pathologists to prepare physician-grade pathology reports.
Unlike many other MCED tests that rely on biomarkers, circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA), proteins or metabolites, CancerCheck uses proprietary blood filtration technology to isolate intact tumour cells. These cells are placed on slides for pathology review using methods similar to tissue biopsy analysis.
The test is capable of screening for more than 200 solid tumour types and subtypes and has shown the ability to detect cancer from Stage 0. The companies said the partnership aims to improve access to early cancer screening and simplify testing for healthcare providers and patients.
Sumit Rai stated that the partnership combines CancerCheck’s tumour cell screening technology with Evexia’s national platform to support wider clinical adoption and improve access to pathologist-reviewed cancer screening.
Through the Evexia Diagnostics platform, healthcare providers can order CancerCheck using a unified system for order management, logistics and reporting. Evexia’s network includes more than 30 CLIA-certified laboratories, supporting both in-clinic and at-home blood collection services.
Ryan L. Obermeier said the partnership supports Evexia’s goal of improving access to advanced diagnostic testing and helping clinicians identify potential disease earlier.
The companies also plan to support adoption of the test through educational webinars, physician training programmes and pilot projects with preventive and integrative healthcare practices.
