Cagent Vascular, a leader in endovascular technologies, has announced the commercial launch of the Serranator® PTA Serration Balloon Catheter in 7.0 mm and 8.0 mm diameters. The new sizes extend the benefits of serration technology to larger vessels, including the iliac arteries, superficial femoral artery (SFA), and other complex peripheral anatomies.

The Serranator® integrates balloon angioplasty with embedded serration elements that create multiple longitudinal scoring lines along the arterial wall. This design allows controlled vessel expansion, minimises barotrauma, and optimises luminal gain. The larger diameters now enable physicians to apply serration technology across a wider range of disease presentations, including proximal arteries and arteriovenous fistulas.

With this expansion, the Serranator® portfolio now covers vessels from below-the-knee arteries to large proximal vessels, supporting a comprehensive approach to peripheral artery disease (PAD) treatment.

The 7.0 mm and 8.0 mm Serranator® sizes are now commercially available in the United States, reflecting Cagent Vascular’s ongoing commitment to meeting physician needs and advancing peripheral vascular care.
