athenahealth, Aetna CVS Health and Catalyst Health Group have received the 2026 KLAS Points of Light and K2 Collaborative Peak awards for their work in improving real-time clinical data exchange between payers and providers.
The collaboration focuses on expanding interoperable and real-time access to clinical information to reduce administrative burdens and improve care coordination across healthcare workflows.
The initiative uses HL7 FHIR and Da Vinci interoperability standards to support value-based care and improve the sharing of clinical data across athenahealth’s network. The companies said the project demonstrates how connected healthcare data systems can improve visibility, strengthen collaboration and support more informed clinical decision-making.
The annual KLAS Points of Light awards recognise collaborations between payers, providers and healthcare IT companies that improve healthcare connectivity and operational efficiency. The K2 Collaborative Peak Award highlights projects recognised for their impact, scalability and innovation.
