Ascensia Diabetes Care has expanded its CONTOUR product portfolio with the launch of CONTOUR COMFORT pen needles, designed to improve stability, control and ease of use during insulin injections.

The new pen needles feature advanced 5-bevel tip technology and an ergonomic design intended to enhance comfort and support consistent insulin delivery for both patients and healthcare professionals.

A key element of the product is its hexagonal anti-tilt needle base, which is designed to improve stability by spreading pressure across a larger surface area. According to the company, this design also helps reduce the risk of intramuscular injections while providing better control over injection depth. These features are aimed at improving the overall injection experience and supporting more accurate insulin administration.

CONTOUR COMFORT pen needles are compatible with a range of commonly used insulin pen injector devices.

The product will be available through pharmacies and authorised healthcare distribution partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from 1 June 2026. Ascensia Diabetes Care plans to expand availability to additional countries over the next two years.
