Toha Plast GmbH has been manufacturing devices for medical and biotechnical purposes under its trademark ‘TOHAMED’ since 1973. As the only European manufacturer of skin staplers the company has been concentrating on the production of skin staplers for human surgery wound closure for over 15 years now. Toha Plast complies with ISO 13485 and GMP guidelines.

Due to a substantial experience in injection moulding the founder of the company Mr. Thomas Hackel was determined to offer the clientele an alternative solution to the solutions provided by established plastic manufacturers. The idea is to offer quality, flexibility, and efficiency in the company’s products. Toha Plast is now determined to expand steadily in the future.

The company employs around 65 people. The company is very much aware of the importance of maintaining quality in tool making and as a result tool making constitutes the heart of Toha. The company focuses on a good balance between theory and practical experience and the company feels that, in spite of enormously sophisticated simulation technology, computer assisted calculation, automated process control, validation analysis, clean room production etc., experience, intuition and skill are not to be displaced.

The product line of TOHAMED is suitable to the professional user in operating rooms and laboratories. Based on vast experience in manufacturing customised medical products, the company has developed its own product line in 1999.

At the start of 2002 the company successfully completed a Konformitätsbewertungsverfahren for medical products according to MDD guidelines 93/42/ewg and since then is authorised to affix the CE sign on its manufactured and distributed product - Skin Stapler.

Accredited to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 the company is now capable of distributing these best quality products across the world.
