Pioneer(R) Surgical Technology, Inc. Announces New Expansion Plan
Marquette, Michigan, Friday 29 Jan, 2010
New Office in Austin, Texas is Key to Future Growth and Development
of Company's Spine Business
Pioneer Surgical Technology, Inc., a leader in innovative medical
devices, announced today the company's plan to open a new office
facility in Austin, Texas, April 1, 2010. The new facility provides
Pioneer greater recruiting access to industry professionals who will
help further the growth and development of Pioneer's Spine Division. In
addition, the move provides greater strategic access to key Spine
markets and enables the company to offer stronger logistic support to
surgeons and its growing spine sales force.
Pioneer's global headquarters in Marquette, MI currently coordinates
activity at physical properties located in Raleigh and Greenville, North
Carolina, Woburn, Massachusetts, and the Netherlands. According to Pioneer's
President and CEO Jeff Millin, "Logistically, Sawyer International
Airport sufficiently addresses our global shipping requirements but
limited commercial flights make it difficult for us to engage with
surgeons, customers, and sales reps on a timely basis. This strategic
move allows us to overcome these barriers." Millin adds, "Pioneer is
committed to building a great company that lasts. This expansion is
another exciting development in Pioneer's growth-focused goals."
Pioneer's commitment to the local and regional economy remains strong.
The company continues to support educational programs at Northern
Michigan University that benefit the company's high-quality,
cost-effective manufacturing operations. In 2007, Pioneer expanded its
facility to more than 110,000 square feet to support continued growth in
spinal and orthopaedic operations.
